Day 1: TASHKENT
Arrival in Tashkent. Meet and greet at the airport.
Transfer to a private local house for breakfast.
City tour of Tashkent.
Old city: architectural complex Khazret-Imam including the necropolis of Imam Abu Bakr Muhammad al-Kaffal Shashi, one of the first Muslim imams and a renowned poet (16th c.); Barak-khan Medressa built by Suyunidj-khan, the first ruler of the Uzbek Sheibanid dynasty (16th c.); Tellya Sheikh Medressa, also known as Khast Imom Mosque, where the world’s oldest Quran of Uthman is kept (19th c.); Mui-Mubarak Medressa (19th c.); Juma Mosque (15th–19th c.); Imam Ismail al-Bukhari Islamic Institute; Hadra Square; Kukeldash Medressa (16th c.); Jami Mosque – the third largest mosque in Uzbekistan; Chorsu oriental bazaar; Friendship of Peoples Square; National Park; Abdulkasim Medressa (19th c.), now a center for traditional arts.

Afternoon: Memorial to Victims of Repression, Monument of Courage (1966 earthquake), Amir Temur Square, Theatre Square, Museum of Applied Arts, local “Broadway” pedestrian street with artists, souvenir shops and cafes, fountains and modern monuments.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: TASHKENT / URGENCH / KHIVA (30 km)
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for morning flight HY to Urgench (HY-1051).
Arrival in Urgench. Transfer to Khiva (35 km). Hotel check-in.
Visit of Khiva: Ichan-Kala architectural complex (12th–19th c.); Kunya-Ark Citadel (16th–17th c.); residence of the last Khan with Islam Khodja Medressa and Minaret (1908–1910).
Lunch.
Mohammed Amin-Khan Medressa, Kalta Minor Minaret, Tash-Khovli Palace (19th c.), Pakhlavan Makhmud Complex (1810–1913), Juma Mosque (10th c.).
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: KHIVA / AYAZ-KALA
Breakfast.
Drive to Ayaz-Kala yurt camp (95 km).
Crossing the pontoon bridge over the Amudarya River and visiting ancient fortresses: Guldursun-Kala, Koïkrilgan-Kala, Bozor-Kala, Kumbaskan-Kala.
Accommodation in traditional Karakalpak yurts near the ruins of Ayaz-Kala fortress.
Lunch.
Camel riding to Ayaz-Kala Lake, photo opportunities.
Dinner with folklore concert.
Overnight in yurts.
Day 4: AYAZ-KALA / BUKHARA
Breakfast at the yurt camp.
Drive to Bukhara through the desert along the old caravan route (490 km, 6–7 hrs).
Arrival in Bukhara. Hotel check-in and lunch.
Visit of the Ark Citadel – the ancient center of power in Bukhara (4th c. BC).
Free time to stroll through the old town.
Dinner in a traditional Uzbek house.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: BUKHARA
Breakfast.
Sightseeing in Bukhara: Mausoleum of the Samanids (9th–10th c.), Chashma Ayub Mausoleum (14th c.), museums of Imam al-Bukhari and Water, Bolo-Hauz Mosque (early 20th c.), silk carpet shops, Poi Kalon complex.
Lunch.
Kalon Minaret (12th c.), Kalon Mosque, Miri-Arab Medressa (16th c.), Taki Zargaron (jewellers’ dome, 15th–16th c.), Ulugh Beg Medressa (15th c.), Abdulaziz-Khan Medressa (17th c.), Tim of Abdullah-Khan (16th c.), Magoki-Attari Mosque (12th c.), Nadir Divan-Begi Khanaka and Medressa (17th c.), Kukeldash Medressa (16th c.), Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble (14th–17th c.), Chor Minor Medressa (18th c.).

Day 6: BUKHARA / SHAKHRISABZ / SAMARKAND (270 km + 90 km)
Breakfast.
Drive to Samarkand via Shakhrisabz.
Lunch.
Visit of Shakhrisabz: Ak-Saray Palace (14th–15th c.), Jahongir Mausoleum (14th c.), Dor-ut Saodat Complex: Khazrati Imam Mosque, Gumbazi-Seiidan Mausoleum, Kok-Gumbaz Mosque built by Ulugh Beg (15th c.).
Continue to Samarkand (90 km, 1h30). Hotel check-in.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: SAMARKAND
Breakfast.
Sightseeing in Samarkand: Gur-Emir Mausoleum (14th–15th c.), Ruhabad Mausoleum (14th c.), Registan Square: Ulugh Beg Medressa (15th c.), Sher-Dor Medressa (17th c.), Tilla-Kari Medressa (17th c.).
Lunch.
Hazrat-Khizr Mosque (19th c.), Bibi-Khanum Cathedral Mosque (14th c.), Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis (11th–15th c.), Siab Bazaar. Free time.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: SAMARKAND / TASHKENT (350 km)
Breakfast.
Drive to Tashkent (315 km, 5 hrs).
En route: visit the memorial complex of Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari (d. 870) and Ulugh Beg Observatory (15th c.).
Lunch.
Arrival in Tashkent.
Farewell dinner in a national house.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: TASHKENT – INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
Breakfast.
Transfer to the airport for the morning international flight.
